Our History

Bobcaygeon is the “Hub of the Kawarthas”. We’re a tourist and retirement destination for those looking to escape the city. Lock 32 on the Trent Severn Waterway is at the center of town. Lock 32 connects Sturgeon Lake and Pigeon Lake.

Situated on three islands, this area provides miles of sailing, fishing, swimming and canoeing on the Trent Severn Waterway. Settlers Village is an active historical experience filled with pioneer buildings. The Festival of Trees occurs each year in Settlers Village. In September the Bobcaygeon Fair features animal competitions, a midway, a parade and demolition derby.
