History 

John Hall settled Buckhorn in the late 1800’s starting with a grist mill. The area progressed from lumbering to modern day tourism. The names of early visitors are written on the bricks of Cody Inn Restaurant. This landmark inn and other venues hosted guests from all over the northern states.
